Nepal Native Chicken Momos


Ingredients:

For the covering:
Flour:- 3/4 cup
Salt to taste
Water as required

For the filling:
Minced chicken:- 200gms
Soy sauce:- 1/2 tsp
Garlic paste:- 1 tsp
Green chilli paste or finely chopped- 1 or 2
Finely chopped spring onion:- 1 tablespoon
Salt to taste


Method:

Mix all the ingredients for the filling. Keep aside.

In a bowl, mix the flour with salt and knead a soft dough adding adequate water. Cover the dough with a damp cloth. Apply oil lightly on the working surface.

Take the dough and roll it out as thin as possible. Cut out 3″ diameter circles using a cutter or any round edged bowl. Spoon small portions of the filling to the center of the circles.

Bring all the edges together, to the center, making pleats. Pinch and twist the pleats to secure the stuffing. Arrange the prepared Momos on a greased steamer.

Cover with a lid and steam for about 10 minutes. Serve hot with a sauce of your choice.
