Brinjal Dry Fish curry
This dish is very famous in Andhra Pradesh, especially in
Rayalaseema.
Ingredients:
Brinjal: 1/4 Kg ( chopped )
Dry Fish: 1/4 Kg
Ginger Garlic Paste: 1 tbsp
Dry coconut powder: 1 tbsp
Tamarind water: as required
Tamotos: 2 sliced (chopped)
Onions: 2 big size ( chopped )
Cloves: 4 no's
Cinnamon: 1/2" stick
Pepper seeds: 8 no's (powdered)
Red chilli powder: as required
Coriander powder: 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder: 1/4 tbsp
Salt: as required
Dried red chillis: 2 no's
Oil: 1tbsp
Coriander leaves: 1 tbsp chopped
Cumins: pinch
Method:
Take a iron tawa. Fry dry fishes on it. Keep aside.
Now take a pan, add oil heat it. now add Cumins, cloves,
cinnamon stick, powdered pepper, Onions, dried red chillis, When onions color changes
add Ginger garlic paste, chopped tamotas and mix them well.
Now, add red chilli powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder,
tamarind water, salt and coconut powder. Mix them well.
Now, add chopped Brinjals, allow them to fry for some time (
2 minutes).
Now, add fried dry fishes, add water as required. allow it
to cook for
10 minutes.
Brinjal dry fish curry is ready.
