Jaggery Rice ( Bellam Payasam )




This is very famous in south IndiaPayasam is one of the most important offerings to Lord Venkateshwara Swamy

Ingredients:

Rice : 2 Cups
Jaggery: add as per your taste.
Cardamom: 4 ( powdered )
Cashew nuts: 1/2 tbsp
Raisins: 1/2 tbsp
Bengal gram: 1 tbsp
Coconut: 1/2 tbsp ( chopped )
Ghee: 1/2 tbsp


Method:

Take a deep pan, add Rice and water ( for 2 cups of rice add 6 cups of water ), let it heat for some time.

While boiling add Jaggery, Powdered Cardamom, Cashew nuts, Raisins, Bengal gram, Coconut and Ghee.

When rice is cooked. Enjoy with your family.
